This product is very durable and will last many years. The carbon steel used in manufacturing the Atlas firepit bowl will develop a nice patina over time. The bowl is made from solid rusting (carbon) steel and it arrives looking very shiny, almost chrome-like. It will rust once exposed to water. Usually this natural process takes a couple of weeks to a couple of months.
The Atlas requires minimal assembly.
The bowl can be removed for cleaning.
